David joined Youthforce in September 2016, after teaching in a central London primary school for five and a half years. He has taught in each key stage and has also worked extensively throughout the school as a senior leader and subject leader. These experiences make David very knowledgeable regarding school operations, pupil achievement, school improvement, and supporting staff and colleagues.
Before becoming a teacher, he worked as a software tester on a new agricultural database and also as an agricultural advisor. These roles enabled him to work across a business, meeting business priorities and customer needs. In these roles, he also supported and trained staff, and this is where he realised that his passion was for teaching and training which led him to becoming a teacher. Before completing his PGCE, David acquired a degree in Environmental Science.
David has always had a passion for learning and is committed to ensuring learners reach their full potential. Whether he is supporting young learners or adults, he ensures they get the best training possible.
Outside of Youthforce, David enjoys running and has completed several on behalf of different charities!
