Salary: £5.50 – £7.50 per hour depending on experience

About this role:

As the Operations Apprentice, you will play an invaluable role in assisting both the Operations Team Leader and the Operations Director in providing general administrative support across all areas of the business as well as playing a crucial role in optimising our learners’ journey.

Youthforce is looking for organised, energetic individuals with a keen eye for detail in addition to superb communication skills. We are seeking people that are both ambitious and committed to gaining an insight into the inner workings of a successful training provider. The ideal candidate would have completed a Level 2 Business Administration apprenticeship or course, or have at least 1-year industry experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the completion of administrative duties that ensure effective delivery of the learners’ journey with Youthforce through support for the Operations Team Leader;
  • Supporting the Operations Team Leader in all compliance activities relating to learners, such as auditing;
  • Ensuring that all learner records are monitored and updated on a regular and proactive basis;
  • Developing and maintaining a competent and ongoing level of industry awareness;
  • Liaising with the Training team in order to ensure timely submission of learners’ paperwork;
  • Providing a professional and friendly first point of contact for all Youthforce stakeholders – responding to and actioning all initial inbound calls and emails promptly and efficiently.

Essential qualities:

  • A minimum of Grade C/4 in GCSE Maths and English, or an equivalent such as Functional Skills Level 2;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook, accompanied by good typing;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Possess a curiosity for learning and development.

Training to be provided:

  • L3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship;
  • Level 2 Functional Skills Maths (if required);
  • Level 2 Functional Skill English (if required).
