With recruitment experience, you will be an expert communicator able to bring an energy and enthusiasm to the role. You will offer an excellent telephone manner, be willing to ask challenging questions of candidates and be decisive in your decision making. You will be passionate about offering value to both client and candidates and be flexible and assertive. 

 

About the role: 

The primary function of the Talent Resourcer is to support the Talent Acquisition Manager in attracting, screening and shortlisting apprentice candidates for vacancies. Throughout the screening process, we aim to understand, educateadvise and guide our candidates in an effort to better equip theto secure an apprenticeship.  

Youthforce place a great deal of emphasis on the sustainability of our apprenticeship programmes, and to this end, we screen candidates across three main areas: 

  1. Suitability 

This part of the interview will focus on understanding the practicalities of the role and will touch on commute, salary, and living situation. 

  1. Eligibility: 

This part of the interview will focus on recognised prior learning (RPL). Here we will explore a candidate’s education history to ascertain their eligibility for an apprenticeship programme. 

  1. Motivation: 

This part of the interview will focus on the candidate’s motivations. What is their ‘why’? Here we will adopt a more investigative approach to develop a thorough understanding of their reason for applying. 

 

Responsibilities and duties: 

Talent Resourcers are responsible for overseeing the following areas: 

  • Attracting, screening and shortlisting candidates for apprenticeship vacancies 
  • Consulting with candidates to optimise applications 
  • End-to-end candidate management 
  • Oversee advertising of our apprenticeship positions 
  • Ensuring our candidate database is accurate 
  • Developing an excellent understanding of the Youthforce offering and the wider apprenticeship sector 

 

Essential: 

  • At least 12 months’ experience in a recruitment role 
  • Basic understanding of apprenticeships 
  • Prior experience working with CRM system 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Experience working remotely 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office package 

 

Desired skills/knowledge: 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Experience within the apprenticeship sector 
  • Basic understanding of the apprenticeship funding rules 
  • Driving licence
